It wasn't the ending anyone wanted to see in a marquee showdown between Calder trophy contenders Brock Boeser and Mathew Barzal. ''Obviously, I have had opportunities in a lot of games where I didn't execute and finish,'' Klefbom said of his fourth goal of the season, set up by Connor McDavid, after the Oilers surrendered a two-goal lead in the third period. Alexandar Georgiev, the first Bulgarian-born player in the NHL, earned his first NHL victory with a 35-save performance and Mika Zibanejad collected one goal and one assist as the New York Rangers beat the Edmonton Oilers 3-2 in NHL action Saturday night in Edmonton. Rangers head coach Alain Vigneault was a winner on a night he was behind the bench for his 1,200th NHL game, but the milestone for his netminder was just as large. Continue to Article
