Dominik Simon admits he got a little wide-eyed as he closed in on his first NHL goal. The only thing left for the Pittsburgh Penguins' rookie forward was to put the puck in a half-empty net. The Pittsburgh Penguins seem like they might be heating up, but Phil Kessel‘s basically been on a roll all season long. Sunday provided a helpful reminder of that, all in one moment: Kessel scored his 20th goal of 2017-18 and the 700th regular-season point of his career in putting the Penguins ahead of the New York Rangers 3-2 heading into the second intermission.
