Miami Heat
The Raptors held an 89-88 lead over the visiting Miami Heat with 3.1 ticks remaining after a clutch drive and putback layup by All-Star shooting guard DeMar DeRozan. All they needed to do to finish off a sweep of their road-home back-to-back was lock in for that final few seconds, and keep the Heat from getting a good look at the basket. Several Toronto defenders got lost trying to weave through the pre-inbounds motion on Miami’s sideline out-of-bounds set. Continue to Article

Miami Heat
When the Miami Heat went on a 16-7 run against Utah to close out the game Sunday and win by a point, Hassan Whiteside had a courtside seat for it all. The highest paid player on Miami’s roster sat while Kelly Olynyk played the five in crunch time. This has been a pattern since Whiteside’s return from a knee injury — Whiteside starts, gets minutes into the low 20s, but doesn’t usually close out the game. In six games since his return, Whiteside has averaged 11.5 points per game on 48.3 percent shooting, plus is grabbing 8.3 and has 1.3 blocks a night. Indiana Pacers
Domantas Sabonis scored 17 points to lead seven Indiana Pacers in double figures as the Pacers beat the Milwaukee Bucks 109-96 on Monday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Myles Turner, Thaddeus Young and Victor Oladipo each scored 15 points for the Pacers (21-19). Turner sank 7 of 10 shots and Young was 7-of-12 from the field. Continue to Article

Miami Heat
The last Miami play was designed by Heat coach Erik Spoelstra to put the ball in Josh Richardson's hands, and with it came the right to decide who would take his team's biggest shot of the game. He chose himself. It was the right call. Richardson's layup with 5.1 seconds left capped a Miami rally from eight points down in the fourth, Donovan Mitchell missed a jumper for Utah at the buzzer and the Heat simply stole one in the final moments to beat the Utah Jazz 103-102 on Sunday. "He drew it up for me and I was kind of surprised," Richardson said. So surprised, in fact, that Richardson emerged from that huddle telling Wayne Ellington and Tyler Johnson to get ready for his pass. But a lane opened Continue to Article

Miami Heat
The Miami Heat rallied late in the fourth quarter to post their fourth consecutive win, beating the Utah Jazz 103-102 on Sunday afternoon in Miami on guard Josh Richardson's short jumper with five seconds remaining. After a timeout, rookie guard Donovan Mitchell missed a 20-footer from the right wing for the Jazz as time expired. Guards Goran Dragic and Tyler Johnson scored 16 points each to lead six Miami players in double figures as the Heat (22-17) recovered from a flat third quarter to sweep the two-game season series with the Jazz (16-24) for the first time since the 2008-09 season.
