Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers Thread

Team Tweets & News Articles
Los Angeles Lakers
None of that matters, the only opinions that carry any weight are the ones in the Lakers’ locker room. Lakers coach Luke Walton said a teammate did talk to Ball, quote via Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN. “Someone on our team talked with him,” Walton said after the Lakers’ practice Saturday, without disclosing who it was. Denver Nuggets
DENVER -- New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis left Friday night's 146-114 loss to the Denver Nuggets after suffering a concussion in the opening minute of the third quarter. Davis, a four-time All-Star, was inadvertently hit in the face by Nuggets center Nikola Jokic's head. Jokic was backing Davis down while making a spin move along the baseline. Davis remained on the floor with his hands over his face for a minute before he walked to the locker room with 11 minutes, 2 seconds left in the quarter. Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry couldn't provide details of Davis' injury after the game. "I don't know yet,'' Gentry said. "I have to check with doctors.'' It was also Denver's most points in a regulation game since it had 168 in a win over the Seattle SuperSonics in March of 2008. Continue to Article

Los Angeles Lakers
Joel Embiid scored a career-high 46 points, nabbed 15 rebounds, posted 7 assists and swatted 7 shots to lead the 76ers past the Los Angeles Lakers 115-109 on Wednesday night. The 76ers big man had a memorable night on social media, too. Shortly after his career performance, Embiid posted a photo of himself lofting a shot over a stumbling Lonzo Ball, with the caption "WHAT A NIGHT !!!!!". And his choice of location tag? Lavar, Fars, Iran.  The 7-foot center later tweeted that he meant no disrespect toward Lonzo Ball.  On draft night, Embiid and fellow Sixer Ben Simmons took jabs at the Ball family on Twitter after the Lakers selected Lonzo Ball with the No. 2 overall pick.  Embiid, 23, told ESPN's Continue to Article

Los Angeles Lakers
NFL Network reporter Stacey Dales just smacked a Twitter troll so hard that we’re gonna need a minute. Lonzo Ball is the most over-hyped player I have ever seen. Oh, misguided Twitter-disser, it turns out that Dales is more than qualified to opine on such matters. Continue to Article
