Recchi has been in Toronto all weekend as part of the induction ceremonies and was at Friday night's Bruins/Leafs game at Air Canada Centre along with Jeremy Jacobs, Dave Andreychuk, Paul Kariya, Teemu Selanne and Danielle Goyette. For Recchi, it was a proud moment he was sharing with his immediate family and the hockey family that played a role in his remarkable 22 years in the NHL, during which he won three Stanley Cups with three different teams and finished with 577 goals and 1,533 points in 1,652 career games. The only goal he allowed was credited to Phil Kessel but went in off Capitals defenseman Dmitry Orlov. Chandler Stephenson also scored for the Capitals on a feed from Nicklas Backstrom, who snapped his career-worst point drought at seven games. Continue to Article

Toronto Maple Leafs coach Mike Babcock thought he'd be heading to Boston with nothing to show for the first meeting of a home-and-home series with the Bruins. Things turned quickly Friday night, with the Maple Leafs tying it with a minute left in regulation and Patrick Marleau scoring 1:07 into overtime for a 3-2 victory. David Pastrnak put the Bruins ahead with 5:30 to play and a second remaining on a Boston power play, batting in a rebound while goalie Frederik Andersen was sprawled out after turning away Jordan Szwarz.
