Chicago Blackhawks
Artem Anisimov was at his usual spot in front of the net on Wednesday night, scoring a goal that was as necessary for his confidence as it was to help the Blackhawks' lagging power play. In his first two seasons with the Blackhawks Anisimov's net-front presence, and the production that came from it, was fairly regular – 20 goals in 2015-16 and 22 in 2016-17. Minnesota Wild
The Minnesota Wild have been beset by a bunch of injuries during a sluggish start, including long-term absences for two top forwards. There was a Valtteri Filppula breakaway, a Travis Sanheim breakaway, a Filppula wraparound, Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek had opportunities from point-blank range, and yet, the Flyers were just blanked altogether. Chicago Blackhawks
1. The power play finally gets one. The Flyers gave them enough opportunities – the Blackhawks went on their fourth power play before the midway point of the second period. Getting any goals lately has been a chore for the Blackhawks so scoring two in 20 seconds gave them a boost of much-needed energy. Continue to Article
