Blake Wheeler scored a hat trick in less than five minutes of the first period and the Winnipeg Jets broke out to a five-goal lead in the first 20 minutes to hand the Pittsburgh Penguins a 7-1 defeat Sunday. Matt Murray's night ended just 18:07 into the game after he allowed four goals on nine shots, the last straw being a weak wrist shot from Joel Armia that slid its way through traffic and between Murray's legs. Pittsburgh Penguins
You know how Mario Lemieux scored his first NHL goal during his first NHL shift in his first game? Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Casey DeSmith essentially experienced a reverse-Lemieux on Sunday night. Matt Murray ended up getting the start against the Winnipeg Jets, but he was chased out of the net after allowing four goals in less than 20 minutes of play. Continue to Article

Player of the night: John Tavares (again) Just another hat trick for Islanders star John Tavares. After scoring three goals on Tuesday against Arizona, Tavares was back at it on Saturday, recording the natural hat trick in just over seven minutes early Continue to Article
