Anze Kopitar beat winger David Pastrnak on the draw and slid the puck to Toffoli, whose quick shot eluded Tuukka Rask and ended a wild overtime period. Columbus Blue Jackets
The Blues received another fine effort from goalie Jake Allen and a good performance from their fourth line Saturday night in a 4-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Scottie Upshall had a goal and two assists - his first three-point game since November 2014 - and Vladimir Sobotka, Joel Edmundson and Kyle Brodziak also scored. The Blues (9-2-1) earned at least one point for the sixth straight game and improved to 4-0 at home. Continue to Article

Boston Bruins
Tyler Toffoli simply had one of the most improbable game-winning goals. Toffoli scored off a faceoff - his second goal of the game - just before time expired in overtime to give the Los Angeles Kings a 2-1 win over the Boston Bruins on Saturday night. With 0.9 seconds left and the puck dropped for a faceoff, Anze Kopitar won the draw back to Toffoli, who unloaded a shot that beat Tuukka Rask to the far post from the top of the right circle, stunning the Bruins and the TD Garden Crowd that seemed ready for a shootout. Boston Bruins
After facing a brutally fast-paced overtime against the Los Angeles Kings, the Boston Bruins were clearly hoping for a chance at the shootout. Tyler Toffoli and the offense of the Kings, however, had other plans. On what seemed to be a routine face-off in the Bruins zone with 0.9 seconds to play in a 1-1 tie game, the Kings managed to score maybe the fastest overtime winner off a draw that you’ll ever see. It’s hard to draw up plays in hockey considering the sport’s nature, but this set up by the Kings was picture perfect. Anze Kopitar beat David Pastrnak on the face-off as the puck went right to Toffoli’s stick on the backhand win. Toffoli then wasted no time in one-timing the puck past Tuukka Continue to Article
