Dallas Mavericks
The Golden State Warriors have been lots of things, but what they are most is the eye-of-the-beholder phenomenon you always knew they were going to be. On the same night – Monday – that Stephen Curry is seen comforting the nephew of Dallas Maverick player Devin Harris, whose father died in a car accident, the Mavs are in full fume because rookie Jordan Bell lobbed to himself for a meaningless dunk in a lopsided game. Draymond Green showed Dennis Smith Jr. no sympathy. Empathy may have been appropriate. A welcome-to-the-league moment happened in Dallas on Monday night, when the Mavericks' promising point guard went at the Golden State veteran — and the NBA's top defensive player — with hopes of dunking on him. In video posted to Twitter last night, you see the Warriors superstar hug and speak with the boy prior to the game. The 9-year-old boy, Brayden, has his head down, still grieving. Speaking with reporters after the game, Curry explained what he told the boy. "It's obviously ... hard to find the right words to say in that situation, because it's such a tough blow to the family," Curry said. "At that age, I can't imagine what Continue to Article

Dallas Mavericks
Curry had to wait until Monday afternoon to get a verdict from the NBA office whether he would be allowed to play. During Golden State's 10-point loss at Memphis on Saturday, he lost his cool and chucked his mouthpiece in the direction of the referee. Continue to Article

Oklahoma City fans got creative with their Kevin Durant trolling last year. In the age of the less-than-24-hour news cycle, social media and the art of the troll, fans are more informed than ever about what makes players tick, and players are more aware than ever about how fans feel about them.
