The modern NHL is no stranger to star players missing extended stretches because of injuries, opening the door for “What if?” frustrations. As glorious as the last couple years have been for Sidney Crosby, the threat of another concussion looms like Michael Myers in the bushes. Continue to Article

Since raising his fist during the national anthem in early October, J.T. Brown has been vocal about building relationships with those in the Tampa Bay community. On Wednesday, Brown told the hockey world what was next on his list. For starters, Brown will now no longer raise his fist during the national anthem. “I am done raising my fist during the national anthem,” Brown said on Twitter. “I am now using this support, opportunity, and platform to call out everyone who agreed or disagreed with me to help by sharing suggestions, continuing respectful conversations, and looking for ways they too can help make a difference in their community.” Instead, Brown is now using the support of his teammates, Continue to Article

''Anytime you're out for as long as I was it's going to take time to get adjusted back to game speed,'' said Stamkos, noting a grueling rehab included lots of drills on the ice but nothing that could truly replicate a game. With Stamkos and linemates Nikita Kucherov and Vladislav Namestnikov leading the way, the Lightning are off to a sizzling 5-1-1 start after missing the playoffs last spring. Continue to Article

Karlsson missed the Senators' first five games of the campaign after undergoing offseason surgery to fix tendons in his left foot. Ottawa has played well in the absence of the two-time Norris Trophy recipient, winning three straight to improve to 3-0-2 on the season. Karlsson recorded 18 points while playing in all 19 postseason games last spring for the Senators in their run to the Eastern Conference final. Continue to Article
