The Colorado Rockies are back in the MLB playoffs for the first time in eight years. With the Milwaukee Brewers’ loss on Saturday in St. Louis, Colorado has clinched the second Wild Card spot in the National League before their game even started in Denver. The Rockies will play another National League West divisional foe in the National League Wild Card Game, battling the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field in Phoenix on Wednesday (8 p.m. ET, TBS). Kennedy picked up his first home victory in more than a year as the Kansas City Royals defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 2-1 on Friday night. If fans of the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants can agree on anything, it’s that the fans of the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants shown in the above video can’t grab a baseball to save their lives. A mad yet hilarious scramble took place during Wednesday’s season-series finale, which Arizona rallied to win 4-3 in the ninth inning. PHOENIX -- As he sat at his locker Tuesday afternoon, Matt Cain laughed as he remembered his first September in the big leagues. It was 2005, and Felipe Alou originally told the 20-year-old to relax and have fun. A couple of weeks later, the Giants found themselves three games out of first. Alou approached Cain again. "He goes, 'Hey, now we might be playing for something, kid,'" Cain remembered.  The Giants didn't make the postseason that year, but Cain ended up being a key piece in the building of a dynasty. He won three rings, posted a 2.10 ERA in eight postseason starts, and made three All-Star teams. For those reasons and many more, the Giants will celebrate the 32-year-old this weekend.
