Cleveland Indians
As if they weren't already rolling, the Cleveland Indians are getting back All-Star Andrew Miller. Baseball's hottest team plans to activate the elite left-hander on Thursday, ending his second stint on the disabled list with tendinitis in his right knee and giving the Indians their best reliever. Despite not having Miller in their bullpen, the Indians have tied the AL record with 20 straight wins entering Wednesday's series finale against the Detroit Tigers. Indians pitching coach Mickey Callaway said the club hopes to have Miller pitch in Thursday's game in a "low leverage" situation where he gets one out in an inning. Cleveland will go for sole possession of the AL consecutive wins record in tomorrow afternoon’s game against the Tigers. Continue to Article

Cleveland Indians
The Cleveland Indians tied the American League (AL) record for consecutive wins by claiming their 20th straight victory on Tuesday. Corey Kluber, who entered with an ERA of 2.56 that ranked fourth in baseball and was third with 235 strikeouts, was in Cy Young form as the Tribe claimed a 2-0 victory over the Detroit Tigers at Progressive Field. The Indians added a second run in the sixth when Carlos Santana scored on a wild pitch as Cleveland tied the 2002 Oakland Athletics for the longest win streak in AL history. Continue to Article

Detroit Tigers
Ian Kinsler’s a prime trade candidate this offseason, and can test free agency at the end of next season even if the Tigers hang onto him for some reason. Likewise, Victor Martinez’s 2018 campaign will likely be his last in Detroit, if the Tigers don’t ship him elsewhere before that. Figuring out what to do with Cabrera overshadows all of those other decisions. Continue to Article
