Colorado Rockies
Even Clayton Kershaw couldn't revive the wilting Dodgers. Nolan Arenado hit a three-run homer off a laboring Kershaw and the Colorado Rockies won 9-1 on Thursday night, sending Los Angeles to its seventh straight defeat and 12th in 13 games. The Dodgers' division lead fell to 10 games over idle second-place Arizona. Continue to Article

Arizona has built a comfortable cushion in the NL wild-card race, but still trails Los Angeles by 11 1/2 games in their division. Continue to Article

Like Mike Scioscia did yesterday. Continue to Article

Los Angeles Dodgers
Texas native and longtime Houston resident Tilman Fertitta has agreed to purchase the Houston Rockets for a record $2.2 billion, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The Rockets released a statement confirming the sale of the team but did not confirm the price. The purchase price reported by ESPN would eclipse the record $2 billion paid by Steve Ballmer for the Los Angeles Clippers in 2014 and the investment firm Guggenheim Partners for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2012.
