Yankees starter RHP Sonny Gray had his stuff working on Saturday as he secured his eighth win of the season against the Mariners. Gray was locating his fastball from the start, and it would only set up his breaking pitches as well as a sinker that caught the Mariners' hitters from time to time. The only blunder that he had was a solo homerun to Carlos Ruiz in the top of the third inning. Gray would finish his day allowing just three hits for one earned run while striking out nine and walking two in seven innings. Though he is 2-3 in his last five starts, Gray owns a 2.78 ERA over Continue to Article

But he is the only one thankful for the introduction of this nickname into the pop culture lexicon. According to the New York Post, he used to have a terrible nickname (which he won’t disclose. “My nickname growing up, I don’t like being called it. As soon as that skit came out, I was instantly called that. Teammates, fans. When I go up to the plate, everybody’s saying, ‘Let’s go, A-A Ron!’ I thought it would be kind Continue to Article
