Mets RHP Zack Wheeler (stress reaction in his pitching arm) will not pitch again this season, the team announced on Thursday. Wheeler had only been doing light throwing as he continued his rehab at the team's complex in Port St. Lucie, Florida, Terry Collins said last week. According to Collins, Wheeler had yet to be instructed to ramp up his throwing program. Wheeler was put on the disabled list July 25 with a stress reaction in his pitching arm.
