Willson Contreras is not definitively out for the rest of the season. The first step for Contreras will be taking about two weeks off to recover after Thursdays MRI revealed what the Cubs called a moderate strain. It doesnt look like Willson Contreras suffered a season-ending injury, but the high-energy Cubs catcher is expected to miss a significant portion of the National League Central race. ESPN reported that Contreras will be sidelined for at least two weeks during a recovery process that could take more than a month.
