Baltimore Ravens
Lately, it’s felt the Ravens were operating with an unlimited cap. They signed big deals in free agency, signed a full rookie class, then continued to sign players throughout the offseason. Their most recent addition, Austin Howard, caught a three-year, $15 million deal. We finally find where they found the money to pay the right tackle. This is the second restructure in as many years for the Ravens top-flight cornerback, Jimmy Smith. In 2016, a similar move was made, converting $6 million in base salary to bonus, creating $4.5 million in cap to work with. Below, you’ll find the original story. The Ravens are tight to the cap as is, and this gives them some (very small) breathing room. As Jeff Continue to Article

Washington Redskins
When coach Jim McElwain took over at Florida, he inherited one of the Southeastern Conference's stingiest defenses. The Gators finished eighth in yards allowed in 2015 and fifth last year, no question the main reason they played for back-to-back conference championships. Keeping the defense at that level could be Florida's biggest challenge heading into this season. Continue to Article

Washington Redskins
The long, long, long wait is over: The Washington Redskins will be back on the field tonight to face the Ravens. Coverage starts on CSN at 6:30 p.m. with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 in Baltimore. While, yes, it is Week 1 in the preseason, there is still plenty worth watching. Starters will probably play very limited snaps, especially if the early results look impressive. Deeper down the roster reveals plenty of intrigue and competition. Washington has overhauled its roster over the last few seasons, and Jay Gruden and Bruce Allen will have some difficult decisions to make when rosters get slashed from 90 to 53 players after the fourth preseason game.  Three things to watch: Safety in numbers - The Continue to Article

Washington Redskins
Entering his sixth season in the NFL, Kirk Cousins has a strong understanding of how the D.C. media works. In a 1-on-1 interview with CSN's Chick Hernandez, Cousins described what it was like to be mic'd up during training camp and if he had to watch what he said.  "I'm learning each and every year and, you know the D.C. media, you gotta be careful man," Cousins said, with a smile on his face. "You'll get run over, so you gotta be careful and play it smart." Cousins clearly displays a strong understanding of the media and does not have any distaste towards them. "You guys (media) do a really good job," Cousins said. "You are fair, but you are tough." YOU CAN WATCH THE ENTIRE CLIP IN THE VIDEO Continue to Article
