Jeb Bush and Quogue Capital investment fund founder Wayne Rothbaum has halted its bid to buy the Miami Marlins, a person familiar with the negotiations said Wednesday. The person confirmed the decision to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the groups that have been involved in negotiations aren't commenting publicly. Massachusetts businessman Tagg Romney was part of the Bush-Rothbaum group before pulling out more than a month ago, the person said. Results of an MRI revealed Yankees starter LHP CC Sabathia does not have any new damage to his injured right knee, Yankees manager Joe Girardi told reporters Wednesday. Girardi also indicated Sabathia could also make his next scheduled start. Sabathia couldn't continue throwing after injuring his knee during the third inning of Tuesday night's game against the Blue Jays. "It wasn't one pitch," Sabathia told The Post's George A. King III. "It's frustrating because it's been healthy all year. To go out there and not have it where I want it to be is just frustrating."
