Baltimore Orioles
A player the Baltimore Orioles had no plans for, going to the Los Angeles Angels as maybe some emergency rotation filler. Only right-hander Parker Bridwell has proven to be much more than that and Tuesday night, the Orioles got to witness the newfound success of the pitcher they simply sold to the Angels back in mid-April. Bridwell threw seven strong innings, leading the Angels to a 3-2 victory over the Orioles to snap a Baltimore three-game winning streak. Continue to Article

Baylor, who played 19 seasons in his major league career and was the 1979 American League MVP, died at a hospital in his native Austin, Texas, after a 14-year struggle with multiple myeloma. Chris Tillman With Tillman, the Orioles have already done what they were avoiding for months. He was officially in the bullpen on Sunday afternoon, and it seems like there he will remain, though he has never pitched in relief at the MLB level and only has six relief outings in the entirety of his professional career, dating back to 2006. It’s not the outcome that anybody would have wanted. Continue to Article

Baltimore Orioles
The Orioles put on their own version of the MLB Home Run Derby on Sunday afternoon, and because there was an actual game happening, the result was very bad for the other team. The O’s ended up totaling 12 runs, seven of which scored over five home runs early in the game. The Tigers managed only a single homer, scoring three runs total. Welcome to August baseball at OPACY. Ubaldo Jimenez did his part, allowing nearly every Tiger he faced to reach base, but only allowing one to actually cross the plate. Ubaldo allowed 12 base runners in all, and ultimately finished the game with an odd final line of 5.2IP, 9H, 1ER, 3BB, 6SO. It’s raining dongs! Hallelujaaaah! Anibal Sanchez has not been particularly Continue to Article
