Multiple reporters are tweeting that the Mets and Red Sox are close to completing a deal for Mets reliever Addison Reed.Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports that all that, once medicals are reviewed, the deal will be done. The Mets are telling other teams that Reed is no longer available, Feinsand says. The return haul is not yet known, but New York will reportedly get three prospects. UPDATE: Alex Speier reports that the players going to the Mets are Jamie Callahan, Gerson Bautista, and Stephen Nogosek. In a season already filled with so many stirring comebacks, the Los Angeles Dodgers managed to add one that might be their best so far. Kyle Farmer's two-run double in the 11th inning in his first major league at-bat lifted the Dodgers to their eighth straight win, 3-2 over the San Francisco Giants on Sunday night. The Rockies have acquired catcher Jonathan Lucroy from the Rangers, Ken Rosenthal reports. The Rangers’ return is not yet known, but details should emerge shortly. (Update: It’s a player to be named later, per ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick.) Lucroy, 31, has now been traded in two consecutive seasons. The Rangers acquired him from the Brewers on August 1 last year. So far this season, Lucroy is batting .242/.297/.338 with four home runs and 27 RBI in 306 plate appearances. Production-wise, it’s his worst season since his rookie campaign in 2010. Houston Astros great Jeff Bagwell appeared on the baseball Hall of Fame ballot for the first time in 2011. Bagwell will finally enter the baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday after receiving 86.2 percent of the vote. Perhaps no player was hurt more by the 1994 Major League Baseball strike than Bagwell. Astros manager A.J. Hinch told the media, including MLB.com’s Brian McTaggart, that starter Dallas Keuchel will come off of the disabled list and rejoin the rotation on Friday against the Tigers. Keuchel has missed nearly two months with a neck injury. Prior to landing on the DL, Keuchel was 9-0 with a 1.67 ERA and a 69/18 K/BB ratio over 75 2/3 innings.
