In specific, it’s the right (throwing) shoulder that’s bothersome, he said to CSNNE, noting it just doesn’t move as he wants it to — rotating his arm as he spoke. BOSTON — Two weeks ago, less than 48 hours after getting shelled at home by the Seattle Mariners, rookie left-hander Adalberto Mejia made a concerted effort to fix the problem. With pitching coach Neil Allen and bullpen coach Eddie Guardado looking on, the promising young Twins pitcher threw just five fastballs in a 30-pitch side session. Chris Young hit a three-run homer and Christian Vazquez homered for the first time in more than a year as the Boston Red Sox routed the Minnesota Twins 9-2 on Tuesday night in a game delayed twice by stormy weather.
