Independence, Mo. native, Truman High School graduate, and Oklahoma junior pitcher Paige Parker had a childhood dream come true when she was asked to throw out the first pitch before a Kansas City Royals game last week. Parker's softball team - the Oklahoma Sooners - had just won the Women's College World Series when the Royals asked if she'd be interested in throwing out a first pitch.
