Bullpen coach Scott Emerson will take over as the pitching coach for a team that owns a 4.83 earned run average. Oakland drafted Young out of CMU in the fourth round of the 1981 draft, and he made his debut with the Athletics in 1983. He was part of an Oakland team that won three straight American League titles from 1988 to 1990. He played from 1983 through 1993 for Oakland, Kansas City and New York Yankees, finishing with a 69-53 Continue to Article
