Stephen Strasburg threw seven scoreless before running into trouble in the eighth, but the Nationals held on for a sweep-avoiding 3-2 win. Stephen Strasburg retired the first eight batters he faced this afternoon before giving up a two-out double by the opposing pitcher, Jaime Garcia, struck out 11 total on the day, and held the Atlanta Braves to two runs on five hits over 7 23 innings pitched in what ended up a 3-2 win.
