Friday was a good night for the Cleveland Cavaliers, for the San Antonio Spurs and for CBS’ Blue Bloods (0.9/4) – at least in the immediate sense. Swirling in retribution and a political resignation and despite the competition of the NBA Playoffs double header on ESPN, the Tom Selleck-led NYPD family drama closed out its seventh season up 12% among adults 18-49 over last week. Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard scored 26 points apiece in San Antonio's first postseason game without Parker since 2001, which ended an NBA record of 221 straight playoff appearances for the Frenchman. This is what the Spurs expected when they signed him. It was Aldridge taking over and leading the Spurs for a few minutes in the fourth that gave Kawhi Leonard the help so many had been begging for in these playoffs. While Leonard finished with 26 points, Aldridge was right their with him all night long, dropping his own 26 points, to go along with seven rebounds, and four blocks. Continue to Article
