Mets general manager Sandy Alderson would not disclose Harvey's infraction, only saying that he was sent home and that his suspension started Saturday. Left-hander Adam Wilk was called up from Triple-A to replace Harvey as the Mets' starter Sunday against the Marlins. The Mets were embroiled in another controversy Saturday when a photo posted by the team on social media unwittingly showed a sex toy in a player's locker. The New York Mets have suspended starting pitcher Matt Harvey three games without pay for violating team rules, general manager Sandy Alderson announced. Harvey filed a grievance against the Mets, according Jon Heyman of Fan Rag Sports. Because suspensions for violating team rules are unpaid, he is able to appeal directly to an independent arbitrator.
