Cleveland Cavaliers
The Toronto Raptors looked completely overmatched against the Cleveland Cavaliers in their second-round playoff series opener, losing 116-105. As odds-on favorites to reach the 2017 NBA Finals, the Cavs did what was expected of them. Dating back to last year, Toronto hasn’t even been able to be competitive in road playoff games against the Cavs. Continue to Article

INDEPENDENCE, Ohio -- The Toronto Raptors have been in this position before -- already during this year's postseason actually. The third seed in the East trailed the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round, losing the first game to go down 0-1 and then dropped the third, trailing the series again. After losing two of the first three games in Round One and looking overwhelmed against Milwaukee, the Raptors made a lineup adjustment, swapping out center Jonas Valanciunas for swingman Norman Powell. The result: Four straight wins to setup a rematch with the Cleveland Cavaliers. But the Cavs' easy-going blowout win Monday night has led to chatter about Toronto making a similar change. Cleveland Cavaliers
CLEVELAND -- For the second straight postseason, LeBron James is opening his wallet to pay for the fallout from something teammate  Dahntay Jones did against the Toronto Raptors. Jones played three minutes at the end of the Cleveland Cavaliers'  116-105 Game 1 Eastern Conference semifinals win over the Raptors on Monday and picked up back-to-back technical fouls for talking trash to Toronto's Norman Powell, which earned him an ejection with 18.7 seconds remaining. The technicals come with a $3,000 fine attached to each of them, levied by the league. Jones, who signed with the Cavs on the final day of the regular season, is earning only $9,127 in salary with the team -- a prorated amount of the Continue to Article

HIRAM – A fun moment at a Cavs game is going viral and even leading to discounted beer, thanks to an off court play by King James and a woman selling a cold one. “I was very shocked that it was like LeBron James,” said Allison Vannoy. “I couldn’t believe he was right there almost touching me. It’s pretty crazy.” Vannoy’s back was turned to the court when LeBron snuck up behind her and grabbed the beer she was holding while pretending to take a sip. “The whole crowd started cheering and people were pointing at me asking if this was the beer bottle,” said Vannoy. “My momentum just took me over to the sideline,” said LeBron James during a post game press conference. “I’m not gonna run over our beer Continue to Article

Cleveland Cavaliers
LeBron James will save Dahntay Jones some money again. After Jones was assessed two technical fouls and ejected from Monday's series opener between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors, James said he planned to pay the automatic $6,000 fine ($2,000 for each technical, $2,000 for the ejection) that accompanied the penalties. Last year, after Jones was fined for punching Toronto's Bismack Biyombo in the groin and was suspended, James paid for his teammate's misbehavior. Continue to Article
