Vladimir Tarasenko was at the right place at the right time to take advantage of a lucky bounce and help the St. Louis Blues get a big win. Tarasenko scored twice, including the tiebreaking goal with 3:51 left to give the Blues a 3-2 victory over the Nashville Predators on Friday night, tying their NHL Western Conference semifinal series at one game apiece. Nashville Predators forward Vernon Fiddler was a hero in Game 1 but put his team in a bad place with a game misconduct in Game 2. The veteran center was forechecking deep in the St. Louis Blues’ zone in the second period when Blues defenseman Colton Parayko carried the puck out from behind the net. The St. Louis Blues went into the first intermission tied at one with the Nashville Predators in Game 2, thanks to a power play goal from Vladimir Tarasenko. The goal, Tarasenko’s second of the postseason, was helped by the fact that the Blues were given a five-minute power play after Vernon Fiddler, the Game 1 hero, was kicked out for kneeing Colton Parayko behind the St. Louis net.
