Milwaukee Brewers
No one expects the Milwaukee Brewers to be a contender this year. Never mind the messy .238 average, Milwaukee is tops in runs scored. Home runs are flying left and right — Milwaukee has 32, seven clear of the field (Bernie Brewer, they’re not paying you enough). Milwaukee strikes out a bunch (171 whiffs, second), but no one minds when your contact is this explosive. MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The Milwaukee Brewers just might have to start giving fans in the outfield seats batting helmets. Jett Bandy, Eric Thames and Travis Shaw each hit home runs to help the Milwaukee Brewers beat the St. Louis Cardinals 7-5 on Thursday night. Bandy hit a two-run homer to left in the sixth and Thames put Milwaukee ahead with a two-run shot to center off Carlos Martinez (0-3) in the fifth. St. Louis Cardinals
The difference is that those 10-game slumps tend to take on most significance at the start of the year. With that out of the way, here are a few teams we think are in for a rebound following a tough start. The Rangers are off to a miserable start this season, but if there’s a silver lining it’s that the primary source of their pain is easily diagnosed. Continue to Article

Milwaukee Brewers
Kyle Schwarber had never successfully bunted in his MLB career, and after Monday’s game against the Brewers, he should never bunt again because he has achieved perfection. In the first inning against the Brewers, Schwarber pushed a bunt to third base against the Brewers’ shift. The ball trickled down the third-base line as the Brewers players let it roll, expecting it to go foul. The ball, however, did not continue into foul territory. It stayed perfectly on the line until eventually hitting the bag for a bunt single. Bunts are usually boring, but if you’re going to bunt, you might as well bunt perfectly. Kyle Schwarber did just that. Bunts seriously don’t get any better than that. Continue to Article
