Pittsburgh Pirates third baseman Jung Ho Kang will have an appeals hearing next month regarding his drunken driving conviction, according to a report. Yonhap News in South Korea reports that Kang's hearing will be held May 25 in Seoul. Kang received an eight-month suspended prison sentence in March for the December DUI, his third in South Korea. The sentence was suspended for two years but hurt his chances of getting a work visa to play in the majors. He remains in South Korea after being expected as part of the Pirates' Opening Day roster. St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Famer Lou Brock is suffering frommultiple myeloma, a blood cancer that starts in the bone marrow's plasma cells. The team said Brock was diagnosed recently and is undergoing treatment in St. Louis. "I am disappointed that I won't be able to make the event," Brock said in a release, referring to an April 25 appearance at Busch Stadium. Hall of Fame baseball player Lou Brock's health problems are mounting as the former base stealing legend is now undergoing treatment for cancer. Brock, who stole a record 118 bases in 1974 for the St. Louis Cardinals, has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer.
