Phoenix archaeologists say this ancient Hohokam pit home could be 2,000 years old. It was unearthed as part of the downtown development of a Fry's Food Stores supermarket. Mark Hackbarth of Logan Simpson via City of Phoenix When archaeologists dig in the dirt in a downtown Phoenix development site, they know that chances are, they will find something. But they don’t always know exactly what the earth will yield. So it was when a team of archaeologists told the developers of a Fry’s Food Store and high-rise across the street from CityScape last week that they had unearthed the remnants of a half-dozen prehistoric homes. The Dodgers’ lefty lasted only three innings during Sunday’s start against the Diamondbacks due to a blister on his left middle finger. The Dodgers will wait until tomorrow to make a decision as to whether or not to place Hill on the disabled list, but SB Nation’s Eric Stephen says it “sure sounds like” Hill won’t make his next start, which would be next Sunday against the D-Backs. In his three innings of work on Sunday, Hill gave up a pair of runs on five hits and two walks with two strikeouts. He now has a 3.38 ERA in eight innings to start the season. Hill, 37, was bothered by a blister issue last season as well, missing Continue to Article

The Dodgers were hoping Rich Hill would put his blister problems behind him Sunday. Walker pitched five solid innings and Arizona beat Los Angeles 3-1 after Hill re-aggravated a blister on his left middle finger. ''We don't know right now what the situation is, (disabled list) or not,'' Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. Continue to Article
