For the first seven seasons of his NBA career — all spent with the Cavs — James’ likability was perhaps at an all-time high, with thousands of passionate LBJ followers — if not more — firmly in tow. Then of course, “The Decision” was made and James’ character plummeted dramatically in the eyes of sports fans. The Cleveland Cavaliers withstood a late surge from the Indiana Pacers to win the opening game of their Eastern Conference playoff series, while Kawhi Leonard inspired the San Antonio Spurs. Defending NBA champions the Cavaliers emerged triumphant in game one of the first round, topping the Pacers 109-108 on Saturday. The Indiana Pacers let a chance to go up 1-0 on the Cleveland Cavaliers slip through their fingers on Saturday, and Pacers star Paul George is upset that the final shot didn't come from his hand. George began Indiana's final possession with the ball, but a late double-team forced him to pass to guard CJ Miles, whose 14-foot attempt drew iron to end the game. "I talked to CJ about it," George said following the team's 109-108 loss. "In situations like that, I gotta get the last shot. I was asking for it. CJ took it upon himself."
