Cesar Hernandez became Philadelphia's first baserunner against Tanner Roark with a soft bunt single in the fourth inning. Joe Blanton took the mound in the top of the eighth inning, after the Nationals rallied to tie it up at 2-2, and gave up a two-run home run that lifted the Phillies to victory.
