New York Knicks
T.J. McConnell drives it up. The New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers are absolutely right where they should be, playing for absolutely nothing on Wednesday, the final night of the NBA’s regular season. The Sixers and Knicks did the right thing in essentially punting the final parts of 2016-17: New York ensures its top-six status in May’s NBA draft lottery with a loss on Wednesday, and Philadelphia could be two losses (Lakers and 76ers) and some lottery luck away from ending up with two top-five picks in this June’s draft. With one game left in the regular season, it's already time to start thinking about summer league. For the Sixers, the biggest question about the competition in July is, will Ben Simmons play? "I think it would be good if he did, but I wouldn't say it's a prerequisite he has to play," Brett Brown said. "I think still his health and the judgement of his health rules the day." Simmons was sidelined for his entire rookie season with a Jones fracture in his right foot. He has not been cleared for full contract five-on-five practice with the Sixers. Given the fact he has been limited in closely monitored activity with his teammates, it would not be unusual for the team to hold him out of summer league Continue to Article

New York Knicks
Keith Schlosser, SNY.TV Twitter | Archive Coming into the season, Willy Hernangomez was regarded as a raw prospect who would need time to develop and make the necessary adjustments in his game. From the opening tip in October through January, the big man took a back seat to Joakim Noah and Kyle O'Quinn. Seeing limited action was for the best, as the Knicks were hoping to allow Hernangomez's body to get used to the rigorous schedule of the NBA while relying upon proven veterans in the meantime. Unfortunately, it was Noah's body that proved unable to hold up over the course of the season. In turn, Hernangomez's rookie season has steadily become a trial by fire. Emerging as New York's starting center, Continue to Article
