New York Yankees
The Rays' staff ace went 9-19 last season and the Blue Jays' No. 5 starter went 15-2. Uneven scheduling in the first week of the season will have Tampa Bay's Chris Archer and Toronto's Aaron Sanchez squaring off Saturday at Tropicana Field. Archer (1-0) gets his second start of the season with the confidence of knowing that he has given up two earned runs or fewer in five straight starts against Toronto and in 10 of his last 11 starts against the Jays. Baltimore Orioles
The Baltimore Orioles got two off-days in the first week, a big reason they are able to bring back No. 1 starter Kevin Gausman for his second start in just the fourth game of the season on Saturday. Baltimore Orioles
Manny Machado hit a three-run shot, leadoff hitter Seth Smith got into the act with a two-run drive and the Orioles rallied to beat the New York Yankees 6-5 Friday night. Perhaps that's why it took Baltimore's big bats a while to heat up. Stymied by 23-year-old Luis Severino for four innings, the Orioles began to stir in the fifth. Continue to Article

Baltimore Orioles
Taiwanese pitcher Chen Wei-Yin's long wait for his first Major League Baseball hit is over. The ball off Chen's bat hit the ground just three feet from home plate and rolled toward Mets shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera, who fielded it with his bare hand and didn't attempt a throw. Chen's 0-for-51 hitless streak, which covered 57 plate appearances, was the fourth-longest such run to start a career among players who have debuted since 1900, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.
