Richards left Wednesday's game against Oakland after 4 2/3 scoreless innings because of what was initially diagnosed as biceps cramping. It was Richards' first start since May 1 of last year, when he left the game in Texas and later was found to have a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow.
