Golden State Warriors
The 2016-17 NBA regular season, thankfully, is nearing an end. Since we all need the reminders as to who is set to start the playoffs where, who needs a bump during awards season or with a statistical accomplishment, and who is doing their best work in losing in order to grab improved lottery ball odds, Ball Don’t Lie is set to look at what should be your game of that particular day between now and the end of the term on April 12. Golden State Warriors
Having completed one of the most impressive four-game stretches in NBA history, the Golden State Warriors begin the countdown to the postseason Tuesday night when they entertain the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Warriors (63-14) still have work to do over the final five games of the regular season in order to wrap up the best record in the NBA and its reward -- home-court advantage throughout the playoffs. Minnesota Timberwolves
Karl-Anthony Towns scored 34 points and pulled down 12 rebounds as the Minnesota Timberwolves cooled off the red-hot Portland Trail Blazers with a 110-109 NBA victory on Monday. Portland's Damian Lillard had a solid look at what would have been a game-winning shot, but his jumper lipped out at the buzzer and the Blazers' six-game winning streak came to an end. At 38-39, Portland are clinging to the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference, 1 1/2 games ahead of the Denver Nuggets. Continue to Article

Minnesota Timberwolves
As Karl-Anthony Towns powered through Portland's smaller frontcourt, the Trail Blazers found out just how much they're going to miss big man Jusuf Nurkic down the stretch. Towns had 34 points and 12 rebounds and the Minnesota Timberwolves snapped Portland's six-game winning streak with a 110-109 victory over the Trail Blazers on Monday night. It was the second game for Portland without Nurkic, who galvanized the team after coming over in a trade from Denver at the deadline. Continue to Article

Golden State Warriors
Find someone who looks at you the way Stephen Curry looks at Kevin Durant. The Golden State Warriors have won 11 games in a row and own the best record in the league, which tends to be a sign that a contender is in good shape ahead of the playoffs. The superstar forward has not suited up for Golden State since he went down with a left knee injury on February 28 and as yet has not had a return date set, although all indications have him on schedule to return before the end of the regular season.
