Luke Kennard had an ugly first half, and Duke leaned on freshmen Jayson Tatum and Frank Jackson to build a double-digit lead against Clemson. Then the Tigers rallied, and Kennard put down the uprising. Kennard made two clutch jumpers in the final 2:04 and No. 14 Duke beat Clemson 79-72 on Wednesday to advance to the Atlantic Coast Conference quarterfinals. Continue to Article

Duke's Grayson Allen was called for a technical foul late in the first half of the Blue Devils' Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament game against Clemson on Wednesday for slamming the ball on the floor after getting called for a foul on defense. Allen, who was suspended for tripping opponents earlier this season, was whistled for a loose ball foul on the offensive end and grabbed the bouncing ball as he moved toward the corner of the court on the opposite side of the benches. Three members of the ACC started the first round of the conference tournament in Brooklyn, New York, with a chance at being one of the 37 at-large teams in the NCAA Tournament or at least staying in the conversation. Two schools - Clemson and Wake Forest - got the wins they needed while Georgia Tech came up just short. Jaron Blossomgame and Shelton Mitchell each scored 22 points as Clemson easily handled North Carolina State 75-61 Tuesday in the first Atlantic Coast Conference tournament game at the Barclays Center.
