Washington Wizards
The Washington Wizards are on a roll, and hope to continue it Saturday night when they hit Moda Center for a date with the Portland Trail Blazers. Washington has won four games in a row, including the first three on its current five-game road trip, to improve to 40-24 and climb into second place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Wizards have become the first team in NBA history to start a season 2-8 and get to 15 or more games over .500. Continue to Article

Portland Trail Blazers
When the Portland Trail Blazers dealt with the Denver Nuggets, the focus was not on big man Jusuf Nurkic. Trail Blazers coach Terry Stotts called it ''Nurkic Fever'' before the game, and the love for Jusuf Nurkic had only grown by the end of the night. The 7-foot center had a career-high 28 points and 20 rebounds, and Portland beat the Philadelphia 76ers 114-108 in overtime on Thursday. Nurkic, who was acquired last month in a trade with Denver, also had eight assists and six blocks in Portland's season-high fourth straight win. Continue to Article

Washington Wizards
The Washington Wizards were going nowhere in November. A new coach in Scott Brooks brought a winning pedigree from his time Oklahoma City, where he led the Thunder to the 2012 NBA Finals, but it wasn't translating to the Eastern Conference. Three months later, Washington is 38-24 after Tuesday's 131-127 shootout win in Phoenix. Continue to Article

Portland Trail Blazers
Russell Westbrook exploded for the highest-scoring game of his career with 58 points but it was not enough to stop the Oklahoma City Thunder from falling to a pulsating defeat against Portland. The Trail Blazers squeezed home with a 126-121 victory in a thrilling battle at the Chesapeake Energy Arena which Westbrook appeared to be attempting to win single-handedly. Ultimately, though, Westbrook's virtuoso display came up short against the multi-faceted Blazers, who finished with seven players in double figures. Continue to Article
