Brooklyn Nets and Memphis Grizzlies Thread

Brooklyn Nets
The Utah Jazz already were holding down the fourth spot in the Western Conference before two of their more recently dormant offensive players began taking flight. This is probably not what the home team is dying to see when the Jazz play a rare matinee Sunday against the Sacramento Kings at the Golden 1 Center. "It's never easy in this league," Kings center Willie Cauley-Stein said. Continue to Article

The Portland Trail Blazers know their margin for error is as thin as it could be. CJ McCollum scored 31 points to lead the Portland Trail Blazers past the Brooklyn Nets 130-116 on Saturday night. The Blazers went 16 of 25 (64 percent) on 3-pointers and shot 57 percent from the field overall. Continue to Article

Brooklyn Nets
The Portland Trail Blazers find themselves on the outside looking in at the playoff picture in the NBA's Western Conference, but that doesn't mean they not optimistic they'll make it. "We know we're a great team," center Jusuf Nurkic told reporters after the Trail Blazers' 114-109 victory over Oklahoma City on Thursday night at Moda Center. Portland (26-35), which won for only the third time in 10 games, plays host to the team with the worst record in the league -- the Brooklyn Nets -- on Saturday night at Moda. Continue to Article

Memphis Grizzlies
Nerlens Noel is out of the Dallas Mavericks' doghouse and back into his coaches' good graces. Just two days after being benched for what was supposed to be his first game with his new NBA team, Noel scored 15 points with 17 rebounds and two assists on Friday to lead the Dallas Mavericks to a 104-100 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. "(Noel) did a good job," Mavs coach Rick Carlisle said. Continue to Article
