Golden State Warriors and Atlanta Hawks Thread

Atlanta Hawks
It looms as the biggest game of the week: Golden State at San Antonio in a matchup of the NBA's top two teams. Forgive Steve Kerr if he doesn't enjoy looking ahead. Golden State beat New York on Sunday, then flew to Atlanta for a game against the Hawks on Monday that will end their five-game road trip. Continue to Article

Golden State Warriors
Bad news, NBA defenses: Stephen Curry can hit shots again. With 5:12 remaining in the second quarter of Sunday afternoon’s game between the Golden State Warriors and New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, the shooting slump that has bedeviled Stephen Curry of late officially became ridiculous. Sure, Steph entered Sunday mired in the worst deep freeze of his professional life, having made just 37.1 percent of his shots over the previous three games, including a woeful 4-for-31 mark (12.9 percent) from beyond the 3-point arc. Golden State Warriors

No bells or whistles save for those blown by the refs. Just the game “in its purest form,” for reasons that remain unclear. Continue to Article

Atlanta Hawks
Phoenix Suns rookie Tyler Ulis and Utah Jazz big man Rudy Gobert shared the limelight Sunday with a pair of stunning buzzer beaters to lift their NBA Western Conference clubs to victory. Gobert's tip-in game winner in overtime was originally ruled no good, but after a video review the basket counted and the Jazz defeated the host Sacramento Kings 110-109. Ulis scored a career-high 20 points, including a walk-off three pointer from the right side as time expired to gave the Suns a 109-106 victory over the Boston Celtics. Continue to Article

Atlanta Hawks
The Atlanta Hawks have been struggling with their 3-point defense. The Warriors, who rank No. 4 in the NBA in 3-point baskets and are good on 38.2 percent, make their only appearance in Atlanta on Monday night. The trouble continued on Sunday for Atlanta, which allowed Indiana to make 15 3-pointers. Continue to Article
