Virginia Tech Hokies
Two weeks ago, following Florida State's win against Boston College at home, Seminoles head coach Leonard Hamilton was asked what it would mean to finish the regular season unbeaten at the Donald L. Tucker Center by beating Miami on March 4. Hamilton paused for a moment, furrowed his brow and locked eyes with the reporter. Seth Allen's 3-pointer with 3.8 seconds left to play carried Virginia Tech to a 71-70 victory over Clemson on Tuesday night. Seth Allen made a 3-pointer with 1:08 remaining to give the Hokies the lead for good and Pitt missed three 3-point attempts on the final possession. The Hokies are becoming close-game specialists, having played five conferences games decided by two possessions or less. Continue to Article

Virginia Tech Hokies
One day after arguably its biggest win of the season, Virginia Tech received a similarly big blow: Chris Clarke, a starter and the team’s leading rebounder, tore his left ACL in Sunday’s game, and is out for the season. Clarke, a multi-talented sophomore forward who plays bigger than his 6-foot-6 frame, was averaging 11.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game in nearly 29 minutes. The announcement from the program comes less than 24 hours after the Hokies beat No. 12 Virginia in double overtime Sunday night at Cassell Coliseum, a win that definitively pushed them onto the right side of the bubble.
