Iowa State Cyclones
A double-digit home loss to No. 10 West Virginia three weeks ago remains a sore spot and a turning point for No. 24 Iowa State. Since that 85-72 defeat Jan. 31, the Cyclones won seven of eight games, climbing off the NCAA bubble and into second place in the Big 12. Fellow senior Monte Morris added 12 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds for the Cyclones (20-9, 12-5 Big 12), who clinched their sixth consecutive 20-win season and swept the Cowboys for the fourth straight year. Senior guard Deonte Burton banked in a 3-pointer from straight-away with just over a minute left to help Iowa State knock off Baylor 72-69 on Saturday. Continue to Article

West Virginia Mountaineers
Bob Huggins apparently isn’t worried about the health scare he endured during Monday night’s 77-62 victory over Texas. The West Virginia coach never left the game even after dropping to his knees late in the first half and clutching his chest. Medical personnel evaluated Huggins on the floor and Texas coach Shaka Smart approached him to ask if he was OK. The 63-year-old coach told ESPN sideline reporter Holly Rowe at halftime that his internal “defibrillator went off,” but he’s fine.
