Matthews scored 12 of his 20 points in the first quarter, and the Mavericks cruised to a 112-80 victory over the Magic on Saturday night. Dallas' first meeting with the Magic in November was in the middle of an eight-game losing streak, which was the longest for the Mavericks in 19 years and ended with them at 2-13. Nerlens Noel, Robert Covington and Dario Saric each scored 19 points to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a 117-109 victory Saturday night over Miami, snapping the Heat's winning streak at 13 games. Goran Dragic had 30 points for the Heat, whose winning streak was the longest in the NBA this season, the third-best in team history and tops in league history by a sub-.500 team. Miami, which fell 1 1/2 games back of idle Detroit for the Eastern Conference's final playoff spot, hadn't lost since Jan. 13 at Milwaukee. Continue to Article

Miami Heat
Two streaks grew in Brooklyn on Friday night. James Johnson scored a season-high 26 points and the Miami Heat won their 13th straight game with a 108-99 victory over the beleaguered Brooklyn Nets, who dropped their 12th in a row. Goran Dragic had 21 points and Tyler Johnson added 18 for the Heat, who played without Dion Waiters and trailed by 11 in the third quarter. Continue to Article
