The NHL announced on Thursday that Florida Panthers defenseman Keith Yandle has been fined $2,000 for embellishing a slash from Ottawa Senators defenseman Dion Phaneuf on Jan. 31. The Panthers won the game, 6-5. As the video shows, Phaneuf slashed the stick of Yandle, and then Yandle dropped to one knee and took his glove off his stick to feign injury, and then he turned around and slashed Phaneuf’s stick.
