Video gamers now have a chance to compete for an NBA title, in an actual NBA arena and get paid by the some of the same people who pay LeBron James and Steph Curry. The NBA and Take-Two Interactive Software announced early Thursday morning that they are bringing some of the world's best gamers together to compete while representing actual NBA teams, a competition Commissioner Adam Silver hopes will continue to expand his league's global brand. ''The large part of my mission is to grow the game of basketball,'' Silver told The Associated Press. Continue to Article

Kyle Korver is finding his feet with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The reigning NBA champion Cavs beat the Indiana Pacers 132-117 in Indianapolis on Wednesday with a key contribution from Korver, who arrived in Cleveland last month from the Atlanta Hawks, where he had played since 2012. LeBron James wanted Kyle Korver on his team for one reason. ''I've been waiting for a game like this, where you get hot and you get some good corner looks,'' Korver said. Continue to Article

LeBron James sank an astonishing 3-pointer to force overtime and Kyrie Irving sparkled late as the Cleveland Cavaliers outlasted Washington 140-135 on Monday in an epic NBA thriller. A game featuring playoff-level intensity from tip-off to last shot saw the defending champions rally in overtime after James had fouled out while the Wizards, who saw their 17-game home win streak snapped, served notice they will be a formidable foe when the playoffs arrive. "It was an instant classic -- a great basketball game by two really good teams," Wizards coach Scott Brooks said. Continue to Article

Kyrie Irving scored 11 of his 23 points in overtime, including a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 35 seconds left, and the Cleveland Cavaliers edged the Washington Wizards 140-135 in a playoff-type atmosphere Monday night. The loud, sellout crowd was standing, and so were the players on both benches, when LeBron James somehow missed a gimme layup late in the fourth quarter. Moments later, he banked in a maximum-degree-of-difficulty, step-back 3 with 0.3 seconds left to send the game overtime, where he fouled out and Irving took over for Cleveland. Continue to Article
