Michigan showed its potential, swarming Michigan State when it had the ball and swishing shots from all over the court on offense. The Wolverines ended a five-game losing streak with a statement, winning 86-57 Tuesday night in their biggest rout of the Spartans since Tom Izzo was a rookie head coach. Simply put, when No. 16 Purdue plays at Indiana on Thursday night in Assembly Hall, three of the nation's best post players will be on display in one of college basketball's best rivalries. Purdue (19-5, 8-3 Big Ten) features the likely Big Ten Player of the Year in Caleb Swanigan, a 6-foot-8 power forward who is averaging 19.1 points and 12.8 rebounds, and 7-2 center Isaac Haas, who is averaging 13.1 points and 5.1 rebounds. Ethan Happ scored 20 points, Nigel Hayes added 15 and 10 rebounds, and No. 10 Wisconsin outmuscled Indiana to hold on for a 65-60 win on Sunday. Happ was 8 of 10 from the field to help the Badgers (20-3, 9-1 Big Ten) win their seventh straight game. Wisconsin will aim to gain back its rhythm on offense following cold-shooting efforts in back-to-back road wins. The No. 10 Badgers (19-3, 8-1 Big Ten) host Indiana (15-8, 5-5) on Sunday afternoon at the friendly confines of the Kohl Center, where Wisconsin has collected 18 straight victories. Wisconsin shot 40.7 and 33.3 percent, respectively, in wins at Illinois (57-43) and Rutgers (61-54 in overtime), but Badgers coach Greg Gard said considering the maturity of the senior-laden team, he doesn't get frustrated with its shooting.
