Jan 24 (The Sports Xchange) - The San Jose Sharks traded forward Tommy Wingels to the Ottawa Senators for right wings Buddy Robinson and Zack Stortini and a 2017 seventh-round draft pick. Wingels, 28, scored 122 points (51 goals, 71 assists) in 337 games for the Sharks since reaching the NHL during the 2010-11 season. He had eight points (five goals, three assists) in 37 games this season. Robinson, 25, has one goal and one assist in seven career NHL games for the Senators. The Flames (24-23-5) suffered their third consecutive loss on Monday night, falling 4-0 to the Maple Leafs in Toronto. Nazem Kadri is scoring a whole bunch more for the Toronto Maple Leafs this season with a little luck on his side. Kadri scored twice to tie his career high with 20 goals this season, Frederik Andersen stopped 26 shots and the Maple Leafs ended a two-game winless streak with a 4-0 win over the Calgary Flames on Monday night. Johnny Gaudreau of the Calgary Flames briefly left Monday’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs after a thunderous hit along the wall from Leo Komarov. There was no penalty called for the hit and Komarov and Mark Giordano somehow only ended up with roughing minors instead of fighting majors for their brief tilt that featured dropped gloves and punches thrown.
