Joel Embiid will be unavailable Wednesday night when the Philadelphia 76ers look to continue their hot streak when they take on the Bucks in Milwaukee. Of course, don't expect the Bucks to be too disappointed that Embiid -- considered the front-runner for Rookie of the Year honors after missing his first two NBA seasons to injury -- won't make the trip. Embiid torched Milwaukee when the two teams met 10 days ago, scoring 12 of his team-leading 22 points in the fourth quarter last Monday as the 76ers overcame a slow start and handed Milwaukee a 113-104 loss. Toronto's defeat was their fourth straight loss however, and their challenge was hampered by the absence of DeMar DeRozan, who sprained an ankle at the weekend. Continue to Article

Miami's Dion Waiters connected on a jumper with less than a second left to give the Heat a 105-102 home win and Golden State's seven-game win streak was history. The Warriors, the highest scoring team in the NBA and the league leaders in almost every offensive statistical category, relished being tested in a game that featured 15 ties and 12 lead changes. "We get everybody's best shot, and Miami played great (Monday night)," Warriors coach Steve Kerr told SFgate.com. Continue to Article

''I went through some doubts about whether I could play on the varsity level at the time,'' Curry said before a halftime ceremony at Charlotte Christian High School in which his No. 20 - yes, No. 20 - jersey was retired. Tryouts back then were in separate gyms - the varsity in the upper gym and the junior varsity in the lower gym. Continue to Article
