The greatest single-game performance by a freshman in the storied history of Kentucky basketball ended Saturday night in the most fitting possible way. It finished with Malik Monk sinking a shot they’ll be talking about for years in Lexington. A top 10 showdown between North Carolina and Kentucky will headline the CBS Sports Classic in Las Vegas with a matchup between second-ranked UCLA and Ohio State serving as a solid opening act. Arizona will face a "new" in-state rival when the 19th-ranked Wildcats take on Grand Canyon University and one of the nation's top scorers Wednesday (11 p.m. ET, ESPNU) at McKale Center. It was recently, though, that the Antelopes made a name for themselves nationally, hiring NBA veteran Dan Majerle as coach in 2013 and beginning the transition to Division I that year as a member of the Western Athletic Conference.
